If you own a C5 corvette and are looking to add some bass to compliment your sound system, then you have come to right place. For the most part, the stock bose system in the C5 sounds pretty decent, but totally lacks in the bass department. So whether you simply want to add a little lower end or you're ripping it all out and starting over, we can help.

It's rare to find custom enclosures specifically for a C5 (at least ones that don't cost you an arm and a leg) or built from some part-timers garage. At Subthump, we are totally different. We have an entire line of C5 boxes for you to choose from. We hate the idea of limiting customers to just one design and forcing everyone to buy it like some other companies do. Instead, we created a whole lineup of boxes to let you choose the specific design that suit your needs best. We know different owners have different tastes in sub size and quantity and how much bass they want out of their setup and what they want it to look like. And with the overwhelming popularity of our boxes, we have added a few new models to spoil our customers with. You won't find more choices anywhere else and we hope you find one of our options to your liking.

All of our C5 boxes come fully carpeted with your choice of carpet color and wiring terminal installed on the bottom for wiring convenience. Please note that many of our competitors only carpet the top visible section of the box and leave the lower portion uncarpeted. What this does is allow them to eliminate some time, labor and materials costs and therefore they can sell for a lower price versus us who take the extra time to carpet the entire box. We feel that C5 owners deserve better quality than that so we continue carpeting our boxes--even the bottom side. That way when you install the box, the saw dust is not rubbing all over your interior like it does with our competitor's boxes. Hopefully you will see this as an added benefit of our boxes over those who are taking shortcuts.

These boxes fit all C5's. Coupes, Verts, and Z06s alike. Please note that if you have the factory changer, then you will need to re-locate it so the box can fit in the storage well. And YES the box takes up the whole center storage compartment; so if that's where your amp is mounted, then you will have to move it. We cannot build our box around your amp. We can however make slight alterations to our designs upon request. If you need a special hole size or something similar, please notify us in advance.

For an ultra custom look, we also can also emboss the Corvette text on your box. See examples at the very bottom of the chart below and in our c5 install gallery in the main menu. Corvette text is only available in black carpet. The other carpets are thicker and will not mold properly around the letters.

These are also available in complete 10" and 12" packages. You get the cover, subwoofer(s), amplifier, and sub box. Everything you need for a top notch stealth install. See the table at the top of this page for details.

We have two families of C5 boxes. They are the Stealth enclosures and the Flush enclosures. The following illustration may help you understand the breakdown of all of our C5 boxes.

What is a Stealth enclosure? All of our stealth enclosures sit lower in the center storage area. Down about 2" from trunk level. The main reason for this is so you can put your factory cover over top (if your car is equipped) for a clean stealthy look. Our design also features a recessed mount for not only a better custom look, but even more room for sub excursion.

Within the family of stealth, we offer a single 10, dual 10, and single 12 sloped top. The reason that the 12 must be sloped is due to the nature of the magnet on a 12. We have to slope it back to avoid interference with the front wall inside the box. The stealth enclosures are more compact and it's important to obey the guidelines on mounting depth and magnet diameter when choosing a sub (especially on the 12). If you're shopping around for a 12" sub to fit in the 12" stealth, make sure the mounting depth is less than 6-3/8" and the magnet is no larger than 6-1/2" in diameter. Or, follow our recommendation and go with the loaded version with the 13kv3 sub. The fit is great and the bass is incredible.

Anything larger or deeper than those specs will need to go in one of our flush enclosures below. Most 10s will fit the stealth enclosures without any problems whatsoever. However, if you're using a 10w6v2 we can omit the recessed routing for an overall depth of 7.5". Please notify us if you wish to have this done. Otherwise, the single and dual 10 stealth enclosures feature the standard recessed mount for a ultra sleek custom look. Remember, the recessed mounting feature is standard on our box and still costs less than many other places that do not offer it.

Besides being compact, the stealth enclosures are very light-weight. We realize that c5 owners desire a light-weight setup and these boxes certainly provide the means for it. Each enclosure weighs approximately 16 lbs empty which rivals any overpriced fiberglass box. And is way lighter than those 35 lb boxes other places are making and charging more $ for. So if you have a big bulky generic box in your car, ditch it and get yourself one of our affordable C5 enclosures.

What is a Flush enclosure? A flush enclosure as we call them is taller than our stealth enclosures and fits the indentations of the stock cargo cover. In other words, the top plate is shaped the same as the stock cargo cover and it drops into place and fills in all the gaps. This allows the top of the box to be flush with the rest of the trunk for a smooth custom look. Within the family of flush enclosures, we have a single 12 flat top box(C5-FF12), and our 10W7 box (c5-10w7). The 10w7 box is specifically built to fit a JL audio 10W7 since we get that request a lot. So if you have that sub, ordering the right box is a snap. Remember, due to the smaller hole size, only a 10w7 will fit the 10W7 box. Do not order this one and expect any other make/model 10" sub to fit the hole because it won't. Our 12" flat top will accommodate most medium size 12s including the 12w6.

When deciding between if your sub will fit any of these types of boxes, the most important specs of a sub are the mounting depth and magnet diameter. If you don't know, then please obtain this information from the manufacturer before contacting us. We are not going to find out for you (we are far too busy). If those specs are not published, give the manufacturer a call to find out. Once you have that info you can use the charts below as a guide, or we can help you select the correct enclosure. We can even give you suggestions on different subs that our customers are having great success with.
