Colorado / Canyon Crew
Cab Rear Console Side Fire
04-07 Crew Cab
Our first design for the
Crew cab is a downfire box. This box fits between the rear
seat and the front console and can fit one 10" sub or one
8" sub. The cupholders stay in position as shown.
The front seats as shown above are in the furthest back position and
will fully recline. Our box also has a front leg so that the box
stays steady and does not tip forward and damage the woofer.
Moving the jack and jack mount is required. Installing
this box is simple. To make it easier, loosen the nuts
holding the seat down and lift up slightly. That will make
maneuvering the box into place much easier.
Our next design is a side fire
design. This box has a tad more air space and mounting depth
to fit those larger woofers (inlcuding 10L7 solobarics). The sub sub faces to the
side. The box fits snugly between the seats for an excellent
secure fit. This box still allows the front bucket seats to be all the way back and it's narrow profile gives the
back passengers more legroom. The cupholders must be
removed. Moving the jack and
jack mount is also required. This box is slightly more
involved to install and may require an extra person to help with
the seat. Remove the four seat nuts. Lift and tilt the seat
upward and position the box into place in the middle of the
seat. Then, reposition the seat back down onto the mounting
studs. Once the seat is fastened down, this box will not
budge.
